     Martha Wolcott was born on 17 May 1664. She was the daughter of Simon Wolcott and Martha Pitkin. Martha Wolcott married Lt. Thomas Allyn, son of Capt. Thomas Allyn and Abigail Warham, on 6 January 1686.

     Lt. Thomas Allyn was born on 11 March 1662. He was the son of Capt. Thomas Allyn and Abigail Warham. Lt. Thomas Allyn married Martha Wolcott, daughter of Simon Wolcott and Martha Pitkin, on 6 January 1686.

     Elizabeth Wolcott was born on 19 August 1662. She was the daughter of Simon Wolcott and Martha Pitkin. Elizabeth Wolcott married Daniel Cooley, son of Benjamin Cooley and Sarah Tremaine, on 10 December 1680 at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. Elizabeth Wolcott died on 31 January 1706/7 at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA, at age 44.

     Daniel Cooley was born on 2 May 1651 at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. He was the son of Benjamin Cooley and Sarah Tremaine. Daniel Cooley married Elizabeth Wolcott, daughter of Simon Wolcott and Martha Pitkin, on 10 December 1680 at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. Daniel Cooley married Lydia Dumbleton, daughter of John Dumbleton and Mercy (?), on 17 June 1709 at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. Daniel Cooley died on 9 February 1727 at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA, at age 75.

Daniel spent his entire life in the vicinity of Springfield, being one of those in Longmeadow to sign the petition of 1702/3 for permission to remove to higher ground following the flooding of the Longmeadow lowlands along the Connecticut River.

His occupation was that of a husbandman. He took an active part, if less outstanding than his father's, in the public affairs of Sprinfgield, and was a man of considerable means for his time, dealing in several sales of property.

     Elizabeth Wolcott was born on 20 June 1650. She was the daughter of George Wolcott and Elizabeth Treat. Elizabeth Wolcott married Gabriel Cornish, son of Mr. James Cornish and Unknown (?), on 15 December 1686.

     Gabriel Cornish was the son of Mr. James Cornish and Unknown (?) Gabriel Cornish married Elizabeth Wolcott, daughter of George Wolcott and Elizabeth Treat, on 15 December 1686. Gabriel Cornish died on 24 May 1702.

     George Wolcott was born on 20 September 1652. He was the son of George Wolcott and Elizabeth Treat. George Wolcott married Elizabeth Curtis on 30 August 1691. George Wolcott died in July 1726 at age 73.

     Elizabeth Curtis married George Wolcott, son of George Wolcott and Elizabeth Treat, on 30 August 1691. Elizabeth Curtis died on 13 August 1741.

     John Wolcott was born on 5 August 1656. He was the son of George Wolcott and Elizabeth Treat. John Wolcott married Sarah Johnson in 1684. John Wolcott died in 1725.

     Invalid. Mercy Wolcott was born on 4 October 1659. She was the daughter of George Wolcott and Elizabeth Treat.

     Sarah Newberry was the daughter of Thomas Newberry. Sarah Newberry married Henry Wolcott, son of Henry Wolcott Sr. and Elizabeth Saunders, on 8 November 1641 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. Sarah Newberry died on 16 July 1684.

Miss "Nancy" as she was called, was educated in Boston with John Hancock's daughters.

Stiles quotes a bill for her board and schooling. Ann Grant was born on 6 May 1748 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Capt. Ebenezer Grant and Ann Ellsworth. Ann Grant married Rev. John Marsh on 6 December 1775. Ann Grant died on 14 November 1838 at Wethersfield, Hartford Co., CT, at age 90.

     Rev. John Marsh married Ann Grant, daughter of Capt. Ebenezer Grant and Ann Ellsworth, on 6 December 1775. Rev. John Marsh died on 13 September 1821 at Wethersfield, Hartford Co., CT.

     Eunice Grant was born on 27 March 1752 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Capt. Ebenezer Grant and Ann Ellsworth. Eunice Grant died on 3 February 1754 at age 1.

     Rebecca Grant was the daughter of Capt. Ebenezer Grant and Ann Ellsworth. This child is listed by Bowman who cites Stiles, but she is not listed by Stiles.

     Azubah Ellsworth was born on 18 April 1722 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Benjamin Ellsworth and Deborah Hosford. Azubah Ellsworth married Nathaniel Bissell, son of Ensign Nathaniel Bissell and Sarah Gaylord, on 15 April 1746 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.

     Nathaniel Bissell was born on 16 April 1719 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Ensign Nathaniel Bissell and Sarah Gaylord. Nathaniel Bissell married Azubah Ellsworth, daughter of Benjamin Ellsworth and Deborah Hosford, on 15 April 1746 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.

     Sarah Bissell was born on 28 January 1748 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Nathaniel Bissell and Azubah Ellsworth.

     Margaret Bissell was born on 13 February 1753 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Nathaniel Bissell and Azubah Ellsworth.

     Margaret Ellsworth was born on 6 March 1723 or 1724. She was the daughter of Benjamin Ellsworth and Deborah Hosford.

     Hametal Ellsworth was born on 11 January 1725 or 1726. She was the daughter of Benjamin Ellsworth and Deborah Hosford.

     Mary Ellsworth was born on 20 February 1727 or 1728. She was the daughter of Benjamin Ellsworth and Deborah Hosford. Mary Ellsworth died in 1790.

     Annie Ellsworth was born on 17 April 1730. She was the daughter of Benjamin Ellsworth and Deborah Hosford.

     Mabel Ellsworth was born on 15 June 1732. She was the daughter of Benjamin Ellsworth and Deborah Hosford.

     Sybil Ellsworth married Jacob Munsell, son of Jacob Munsell and Phoebe Loomis. Sybil Ellsworth was born on 7 March 1734. She was the daughter of Benjamin Ellsworth and Deborah Hosford.

     Jacob Munsell married Sybil Ellsworth, daughter of Benjamin Ellsworth and Deborah Hosford. Jacob Munsell was born on 21 April 1732.¹ He was the son of Jacob Munsell and Phoebe Loomis.

     Job Ellsworth was born on 15 April 1737. He was the son of Benjamin Ellsworth and Deborah Hosford. Job Ellsworth married Mary Trumbull on 4 May 1762.

     Mary Trumbull married Job Ellsworth, son of Benjamin Ellsworth and Deborah Hosford, on 4 May 1762.

     Deacon Jonathan Strong was born on 22 April 1694. He was the son of Sgt. John Strong and Hannah Trumbull. Deacon Jonathan Strong married Hannah Ellsworth, daughter of Job Ellsworth and Mary Trumbull. Deacon Jonathan Strong died on 16 July 1763 at age 69.

     The information on Micah's descendants is from Sally J. Holcombe, 1036 Scots Lane, Walnut Creek, CA 94596-5431. Much of her information came from Julia Holcombe, an unmarried great-great aunt of Sally's husband. As each of her nieces and nephews married, they were presented with a family history -- handwritten by "Aunt Julia." Its title was Genealogy of the Holcomb, Lyon and Carey families, with notes, and extracts from letters. The copy the Sally used was briefly loaned to her by her husbands second cousin, Bonnie Holcombe Laughlin (also now deceased).

There is a marriage listed in the Church Records of Turkey Hills, page 39, of Micah Holcombe and --- Hayes, both of Salmon Brook, October 13, 1784. Micah Holcombe was born on 14 May 1768 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of David Holcombe II and Elizabeth Griffin. Micah Holcombe married Julia Smith. Micah Holcombe died on 7 May 1813 at Shoreham, VT, at age 44.

     Julia Smith was born on 19 December 1772 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. She married Micah Holcombe, son of David Holcombe II and Elizabeth Griffin. Julia Smith died on 21 May 1812 at Shoreham, VT, at age 39.

     Betsey Holcombe was born on 8 January 1792 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Micah Holcombe and Julia Smith. Betsey Holcombe died on 6 August 1872 at Springfield, IL, at age 80.

Aunt Betsey came from Vermont to Stockholm about 1813-14, on horseback, and brought her baby sister (Aunt Salucia) in her arms. This aunt lived with Aunt Betsey until 1836. I think Aunt Betsey came to Stockholm to care for her sister Sally and after her death became Uncle Oliver's second wife. In looking over the first record of the town of Stockholm, I found Mr. Culver was mentioned in 1816, 1817 and 1819 as road overseer.

     There were no children from the marriage of Sally and Oliver. Sally Holcombe was born on 27 March 1794 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Micah Holcombe and Julia Smith. Sally Holcombe died on 15 May 1816 at Stockholm, NY, at age 22.

     Julia Holcombe was born on 5 February 1797 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Micah Holcombe and Julia Smith. Julia Holcombe died on 3 April 1871 at Stockholm, NY, at age 74.

     Julius Kelsey was the son of Sidney Kelsey and Julia Holcombe. Died at age 22.

     Henry G. Kelsey was the son of Sidney Kelsey and Julia Holcombe. Julia Holcombe's genealogy has additional information on Henry.

     Moved from Montpelier to Brandon, VT, bought a newspaper The Voice of Freedom, in 1840, was its editor and in association of O. s. Murray continued its publication until about 1843; received a patent for an improved platform scale; is recorded in the 1850 census of Brandon as clerk. Jedediah Holcombe was born on 19 June 1799 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Micah Holcombe and Julia Smith. Jedediah Holcombe married Lois Bacon, daughter of Nathaniel Bacon II and Melissa Schofield, on 25 September 1823. Jedediah Holcombe died on 21 April 1880 at West Cornwall, VT, at age 80.

     Lois Bacon was born on 24 September 1797 at Brandon, VT. She was the daughter of Nathaniel Bacon II and Melissa Schofield. Lois Bacon married Jedediah Holcombe, son of Micah Holcombe and Julia Smith, on 25 September 1823.

     Fidelia Adelaide Holcombe was born on 12 March 1827 at VT. She was the daughter of Jedediah Holcombe and Lois Bacon. Fidelia Adelaide Holcombe married Champion Marsh Janes, son of Horace Janes and Betsey Parker, in 1856.

     Lucina Holcombe was born on 23 March 1828 at VT. She was the daughter of Jedediah Holcombe and Lois Bacon. Lucina Holcombe died on 21 August 1857 at age 29.

     Jonathan Culver was born circa 1821 at Stockholm, NY. He was the son of Oliver B. Culver and Betsey Holcombe.

     Sarah Culver was born at Stockholm, NY. She was the daughter of Oliver B. Culver and Betsey Holcombe.
