     George Cooley was born on 27 January 1688/89 at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. He was the son of Joseph Cooley and Mary Griswold. George Cooley died on 22 May 1704 at age 15.

     Elizabeth Leavitt was born on 8 September 1787.¹ She married Hon. Luther Loomis, son of Luther Loomis and Jemima Bronson, on 3 January 1810 at Suffield, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Elizabeth Leavitt died on 17 February 1865 at age 77.¹

     Eunice Cooley was born on 28 April 1736 at "Missing Place" no. 6410. She was the daughter of Joseph Cooley II and Mary Dorchester.

     The Cooley Genealogy mentions that James appears in the 1741 Church Records of Somers. James Cooley was born on 14 June 1728 at Springfield (Longmeadow), MA. He was the son of Joseph Cooley II and Mary Dorchester. James Cooley married Ruth Parsons on 9 January 1756 at "Missing Place" no. 6410. James Cooley died on 2 August 1785 at "Missing Place" no. 6410 at age 57.

     Jerusha King was born in 1747. He was the son of Zebulon King and Kezia Loomis.

     Alexander King was born in 1749. He was the son of Zebulon King and Kezia Loomis.

     Caroline King was born in 1752. She was the daughter of Zebulon King and Kezia Loomis.

     Tryphenia King was born in 1754. She was the daughter of Zebulon King and Kezia Loomis.

     Elijah Fitch was born on 23 February 1717/18 at East Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Ebenezer Fitch and Bridget Brown. Elijah Fitch married Mary Loomis, daughter of Capt. Joseph Loomis and Mary Cooley, on 28 October 1742 at East Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. Elijah Fitch married Abigail Taylor on 24 September 1745 at Ashford, Windham Co., CT.

     Mary Fitch was born on 25 April 1744 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Elijah Fitch and Mary Loomis. Mary Fitch married Ebenezer Reed on 6 December 1759. Mary Fitch died on 11 November 1774 at age 30.

     Ebenezer Fitch was born on 10 January 1689 at Norwich, New London Co., CT. He was the son of Maj. James Fitch and Elizabeth Mason. Ebenezer Fitch married Bridget Brown on 18 September 1712 at Canterbury, Windham Co., CT. Ebenezer Fitch died on 20 November 1724 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT, at age 35.

     Bridget Brown was born on 7 July 1685 at Chelmsford, Middlesex Co., MA. She married Ebenezer Fitch, son of Maj. James Fitch and Elizabeth Mason, on 18 September 1712 at Canterbury, Windham Co., CT. Bridget Brown died on 22 November 1756 at Wallingford, New Haven Co., CT, at age 71.

     George's toombstone in Somers bears the military title by which he was known. He was granted 38 acres in Enfield in 1744, and received the estate left by his brother, Joseph III, who died before 1746. Lt. George Cooley was born on 17 October 1717 at Springfield (Longmeadow), MA. He was the son of Joseph Cooley II and Mary Dorchester. Lt. George Cooley married Susannah Pease, daughter of Ebenezer Pease and Mindwell (?), on 31 March 1740 at "Missing Place" no. 6410. Lt. George Cooley died on 5 December 1786 at "Missing Place" no. 6410 at age 69.

     Susannah Pease was the daughter of Ebenezer Pease and Mindwell (?) Susannah Pease married Lt. George Cooley, son of Joseph Cooley II and Mary Dorchester, on 31 March 1740 at "Missing Place" no. 6410.

     Hannah Cooley was born on 27 September 1740 at "Missing Place" no. 6410. She was the daughter of Lt. George Cooley and Susannah Pease. Hannah Cooley died on 26 March 1741.

     Joseph Cooley was born on 8 January 1741 at "Missing Place" no. 6410. He was the son of Lt. George Cooley and Susannah Pease. Joseph Cooley married Jerusha Bissell on 31 July 1766 at "Missing Place" no. 6410.

     Jerusha Bissell married Joseph Cooley, son of Lt. George Cooley and Susannah Pease, on 31 July 1766 at "Missing Place" no. 6410.

IN MEMORY OF CAPT. GEORGE COOLEY WHO DIED JANUARY 3, 1814 IN THE 70TH YEAR OF HIS AGE.

His wife, Abi, is buried with him. All of the children, born in Somers, are recorded in the Vital Records, except the last, Levi, whom Cooley questions. George Cooley II was born on 9 February 1743 at Somers, CT. He was the son of Lt. George Cooley and Susannah Pease. George Cooley II was baptized on 12 February 1744 at "Missing Place" no. 6410. He married Abi Jones on 19 May 1767 at "Missing Place" no. 6410. George Cooley II died on 3 January 1814 at Granville, Hampden Co., MA, at age 70. He was buried at Granville, Hampden Co., MA.

     Abi Jones was born circa 1750. She married George Cooley II, son of Lt. George Cooley and Susannah Pease, on 19 May 1767 at "Missing Place" no. 6410. Abi Jones died on 4 April 1841 at Granville, Hampden Co., MA.

     Hannah Cooley was born on 20 March 1745 at "Missing Place" no. 6410. She was the daughter of Lt. George Cooley and Susannah Pease. Hannah Cooley died on 26 October 1802 at age 57.

     Noah Cooley was born on 25 July 1751 at "Missing Place" no. 6410. He was the son of Lt. George Cooley and Susannah Pease. Noah Cooley died on 9 August 1775 at Brookline, MA, at age 24.

     Mary Cooley was born on 9 August 1753 at "Missing Place" no. 6410. She was the daughter of Lt. George Cooley and Susannah Pease. Mary Cooley died on 6 May 1824 at age 70.

     Ashel Cooley married Mary (?) Ashel Cooley was born on 24 October 1719 at Springfield (Longmeadow), MA. He was the son of Joseph Cooley II and Mary Dorchester. Ashel Cooley died in July 1742 at Wallingford, New Haven Co., CT, at age 22.

     Mary (?) married Ashel Cooley, son of Joseph Cooley II and Mary Dorchester. Mary (?) was CHURCH MEMBERSHIP on 9 October 1740 at Enfield, Hartford Co., CT.

     Mary Cooley was born on 20 November 1740. She was the daughter of Ashel Cooley and Mary (?) Mary Cooley married Lt. Levi Munsen on 27 November 1760. Mary Cooley died in 1829.

     Lt. Levi Munsen was born on 29 August 1738 at Wallingford, New Haven Co., CT. He married Mary Cooley, daughter of Ashel Cooley and Mary (?), on 27 November 1760. Lt. Levi Munsen died in 1815 at Camden, Oneida Co., NY.

     From the Cooley Genealogy:

He served as a Captain in the Revolutionary War. He removed to Durham, Jan. 2, 1799, and to Victory, Cayuga Co., N.Y. thence to Honesdale, Penn.

All 9 children by both wives are recorded in the Wallingford Vital Records. Capt. Asahel Cooley was born on 10 August 1742 at Wallingford, New Haven Co., CT. He was the son of Ashel Cooley and Mary (?) Capt. Asahel Cooley married Sarah Merwin on 23 January 1766. Capt. Asahel Cooley married Chloe Cooley Bliss, daughter of Abner Bliss and Sarah Cooley, on 5 May 1780 at Wallingford, New Haven Co., CT. Capt. Asahel Cooley died on 9 May 1824 at Durham, Greene Co., NY, at age 81.²

     Sarah Merwin married Capt. Asahel Cooley, son of Ashel Cooley and Mary (?), on 23 January 1766. Sarah Merwin died on 6 January 1780 at Wallingford, New Haven Co., CT.

     Chloe Cooley Bliss was born on 10 May 1751 at Longmeadow (Springfield), MA. She was the daughter of Abner Bliss and Sarah Cooley. Chloe Cooley Bliss married Capt. Asahel Cooley, son of Ashel Cooley and Mary (?), on 5 May 1780 at Wallingford, New Haven Co., CT. Chloe Cooley Bliss died in March 1821 at age 69.

     Sarah Cooley was born on 1 January 1723/24 at Springfield (Longmeadow), MA. She was the daughter of Joseph Cooley II and Mary Dorchester. Sarah Cooley married Abner Bliss, son of Nathaniel Bliss and Mary Morgan, on 28 June 1749. Sarah Cooley died on 9 August 1794 at age 70.

     Abner Bliss was born on 19 August 1726. He was the son of Nathaniel Bliss and Mary Morgan. Abner Bliss married Sarah Cooley, daughter of Joseph Cooley II and Mary Dorchester, on 28 June 1749. Abner Bliss died on 20 April 1782 at age 55.

     Abner Bliss was born on 1 February 1750 at Longmeadow (Springfield), MA. He was the son of Abner Bliss and Sarah Cooley. Abner Bliss died on 31 March 1750.

     Nathaniel Bliss was born on 6 January 1753 at Longmeadow (Springfield), MA. He was the son of Abner Bliss and Sarah Cooley. Nathaniel Bliss married Martha Collins, daughter of Deacon Edward Collins and Rebecca (?), on 25 November 1779.

     Mary Bliss was born on 18 April 1754 at Longmeadow (Springfield), MA. She was the daughter of Abner Bliss and Sarah Cooley.

     Sarah Bliss was born on 6 January 1756 at Longmeadow (Springfield), MA. She was the daughter of Abner Bliss and Sarah Cooley. Sarah Bliss died on 5 September 1757 at age 1.

     Sarah Bliss was born on 13 November 1757 at Longmeadow (Springfield), MA. She was the daughter of Abner Bliss and Sarah Cooley.

     Bathsheba Bliss was born on 13 January 1760 at Longmeadow (Springfield), MA. She was the daughter of Abner Bliss and Sarah Cooley. Bathsheba Bliss died on 24 February 1832 at age 72.

     Mamre Bliss was born on 26 May 1765 at Longmeadow (Springfield), MA. She was the daughter of Abner Bliss and Sarah Cooley.

     Joshua Loomis was born on 16 November 1716. He was the son of Capt. Joshua Loomis and Deborah Cooley.

     Abigail Langdon was the daughter of John Langdon and Abigail Phelps. Abigail Langdon married Joshua Loomis, son of William Loomis and Martha Morley, on 22 May 1735. Abigail Langdon died on 23 April 1795 at Westfield, Hampden Co., MA.

     Checking on Deborah; under Joshua Loomis, Stiles shows Deborah marrying Nathaniel (s. Nathaniel) Loomis; under Nathaniel Loomis, Stiles shows him marrying Margaret Bissell. Bowman shows only the one marriage between Deborah and Nathaniel. Deborah Loomis was born on 6 September 1718. She was the daughter of Capt. Joshua Loomis and Deborah Cooley.

     Zerulah Loomis was born on 20 March 1719 or 1720. He was the son of Capt. Joshua Loomis and Deborah Cooley. Zerulah Loomis died on 31 January 1726 or 1727.

     Capt. Joel Loomis married Sarah Buckland, daughter of William Buckland and Elizabeth (?). Capt. Joel Loomis was born on 21 June 1722. He was the son of Capt. Joshua Loomis and Deborah Cooley. Capt. Joel Loomis died on 19 June 1788 at age 65.

     George Loomis was born on 6 February 1725 or 1726. He was the son of Capt. Joshua Loomis and Deborah Cooley.

     Zerulah Loomis was born on 31 January 1727 or 1728. He was the son of Capt. Joshua Loomis and Deborah Cooley. Zerulah Loomis died on 1 February 1728.

     Child Loomis was the child of Capt. Joshua Loomis and Deborah Cooley. Child Loomis died on 5 June 1729.
