     Abigail Chauncey was born on 14 October 1677. She was the daughter of Rev. Nathaniel Chauncey and Abigail Strong.

     Isaac Chauncey was born on 6 September 1674. He was the son of Rev. Nathaniel Chauncey and Abigail Strong. Isaac Chauncey died on 23 July 1748 at age 73.

     Catharine Chauncey was born on 12 January 1676. She was the daughter of Rev. Nathaniel Chauncey and Abigail Strong. Catharine Chauncey married Rev. Daniel Brewer, son of Daniel Brewer Jr. and Hannah Morrill, on 29 August 1699. Catharine Chauncey died on 15 May 1754 at age 78.

     Rev. Daniel Brewer was born on 7 February 1668. He was the son of Daniel Brewer Jr. and Hannah Morrill. Rev. Daniel Brewer was graduated in 1687 at Harvard, Cambridge, MA. He married Catharine Chauncey, daughter of Rev. Nathaniel Chauncey and Abigail Strong, on 29 August 1699. Rev. Daniel Brewer died on 5 November 1733 at age 65.

     Charles Chauncey was born on 3 September 1679. He was the son of Rev. Nathaniel Chauncey and Abigail Strong. Charles Chauncey died on 31 October 1679.

     Abigail Burroughs was the daughter of Edward Burroughs and Abigail Chauncey. Abigail Burroughs married Jotham Ives, son of Gordon Ives and Mary Royce.

     Hannah Morgan was the daughter of James Morgan and Margery Hill.

     Joseph Royce was the son of Nehemiah Royce and Hannah Morgan.

     Mary Royce was the daughter of Joseph Royce and Mary Porter.

     Jotham Ives was the son of Gordon Ives and Mary Royce. Jotham Ives married Abigail Burroughs, daughter of Edward Burroughs and Abigail Chauncey.

     Abigail Ives was the daughter of Jotham Ives and Abigail Burroughs.

     Abigail Doolittle was the daughter of Amos Doolittle and Abigail Ives.

     Charlotte Law Hull was the daughter of Samuel Hull and Abigail Doolittle. Charlotte Law Hull married John Olmsted, son of Benjamin Olmsted and Content Pitkin.

     Sarah Lyman was born in 1646. She was the daughter of Richard Lyman Jr. and Hepzibah Ford. Sarah Lyman married John Marsh Jr. in 1666. Sarah Lyman died after 1688.

     John Marsh Jr. was born in 1642. He married Sarah Lyman, daughter of Richard Lyman Jr. and Hepzibah Ford, in 1666. John Marsh Jr. died in 1727.

     Hannah Marsh was born in April 1681. She was the daughter of John Marsh Jr. and Sarah Lyman. Hannah Marsh married Joseph Olmsted, son of Deacon Joseph Olmsted and Elizabeth Butler, in 1704. Hannah Marsh died on 22 August 1760 at age 79.

     Joseph Olmsted was born in 1674. He was the son of Deacon Joseph Olmsted and Elizabeth Butler. Joseph Olmsted married Hannah Marsh, daughter of John Marsh Jr. and Sarah Lyman, in 1704. Joseph Olmsted died on 25 February 1762.

     Jonathan Olmsted was the son of Joseph Olmsted and Hannah Marsh.

     Benjamin Olmsted was the son of Jonathan Olmsted and Hannah Meakins.

     John Olmsted was the son of Benjamin Olmsted and Content Pitkin. John Olmsted married Charlotte Law Hull, daughter of Samuel Hull and Abigail Doolittle.

     Major American landscape architect, born in Hartford, Connecticut, and educated at Yale University. He traveled throughout Europe and the southern U.S., studying landscape gardening and agricultural methods. In 1857 he was appointed superintendent of Central Park in New York City, the first great metropolitan park in the U.S. In collaboration with the American architect Calvert Vaux he drew new plans for the park, which had a pervasive influence on park design throughout the United States and Canada. Subsequently, he planned a large number of city parks, including Morningside, Prospect, and Riverside parks, New York City; Jackson and Washington parks, Chicago; and the grounds of the Capitol, Washington, D.C. He was the first commissioner of Yosemite National Park, California. Olmsted was one of the first landscape architects in America to preserve the natural features of the terrain and to add naturalistic elements when needed. His experiences are recounted in Forty Years of Landscape Architecture: Central Park (1928), edited by F. L. Olmsted, Jr., and Theodora Kimball.

     John Loudon McAdam married Glorianna Margaretta Nicoll, daughter of William Nicoll and Joanna D'Honneur. British road engineer. John Loudon McAdam was born in 1756. He died in 1836.

     Sarah Strong was born on 14 March 1665/66 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Return Strong and Sarah Warham. Sarah Strong married Joseph Bissell, son of Quartermaster Thomas Bissell and Abigail Moore, on 7 July 1687. Sarah Strong married Capt. John Higley in 1696 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.⁴ Sarah Strong died on 27 May 1739 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT, at age 73.

Dwight only mentions the husband, Bissell, the Diana book mentions the other husband, Higley; it is likely that as early as Bissell died, that Sarah would have remarried.

     Capt. John Higley was born on 22 July 1649 at Frimley, Surrey, England.¹ He married Hannah Drake, daughter of John Drake and Hannah Moore, on 9 November 1671 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.^1,2 Capt. John Higley married Sarah Strong, daughter of Return Strong and Sarah Warham, in 1696 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.³ Capt. John Higley died on 25 August 1714 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT, at age 65.¹ He was buried at Simsbury Cemetery, Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.⁴

     Joseph Bissell was born on 18 April 1663 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Quartermaster Thomas Bissell and Abigail Moore. Joseph Bissell married Sarah Strong, daughter of Return Strong and Sarah Warham, on 7 July 1687. Joseph Bissell died on 23 August 1689 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT, at age 26.

     Sarah Higley was born circa 1697 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.² She was the daughter of Capt. John Higley and Sarah Strong. Sarah Higley married Jonathan Loomis, son of Jonathan Loomis and Sarah Graves, on 24 December 1723.

     Jonathan Loomis was born on 1 February 1694/95. He was the son of Jonathan Loomis and Sarah Graves. Jonathan Loomis married Sarah Higley, daughter of Capt. John Higley and Sarah Strong, on 24 December 1723.

     Margaret Loomis was the daughter of Jonathan Loomis and Sarah Higley. Margaret Loomis married John Warner.

     John Warner married Margaret Loomis, daughter of Jonathan Loomis and Sarah Higley.

     Ruth Warner was the daughter of John Warner and Margaret Loomis. Ruth Warner married Amasa Newberry.

     Amasa Newberry married Ruth Warner, daughter of John Warner and Margaret Loomis.

     Merchant, banker, philanthropist, founder of the Newberry Library in Chicago. Walter Loomis Newberry was born in 1805. He was the son of Amasa Newberry and Ruth Warner. Walter Loomis Newberry died in 1868.

     Elizabeth Barnard was the daughter of Ebenezer Barnard and Elizabeth Foster. Elizabeth Barnard married Nathan Frary.

     Nathan Frary married Elizabeth Barnard, daughter of Ebenezer Barnard and Elizabeth Foster.

     Electa Frary was the daughter of Nathan Frary and Elizabeth Barnard. Electa Frary married Justin Parsons, son of Benjamin Parsons and Rebecca Sheldon.
