     Henry Wells Holcombe was born on 29 November 1870 at Granville, Hampden Co., MA.¹ He was the son of Henry G. Holcombe and Abbie L. Winchel. Henry Wells Holcombe married Hannah Marie Neilson, daughter of Neils C. Neilson and Katerina Anderson, in December 1891.² Henry Wells Holcombe died on 29 September 1943 at Bloomfield, Hartford Co., CT, at age 72.³ He was buried on 2 October 1943 at Mountain View Cemetery, Bloomfield, Hartford Co., CT.

Andrew Lawrence served in the Civil War, Co. C, 85th NY. Wounded May 31, 1862 at Fair Oaks, VA.

Andrew was supposed to be a 9th generation descendant of Gov. Bradford. Isabelle Holcombe was born on 13 August 1849. She was the daughter of Asahel Seymour Holcombe and Celestia Thurston.

     Lucretia Holcombe was the daughter of Asahel Seymour Holcombe and Celestia Thurston.

     Charles D. Holcombe was born on 24 July 1824 at Broome Co., NY.¹ He was the son of Asahel Seymour Holcombe and Celestia Thurston. Charles D. Holcombe married Betsy Ann Lurvey, daughter of Jabez Lurvey and Elvira (?), circa 1848; Six children.¹ Charles D. Holcombe died on 10 March 1907 at Portville, Cattaragus Co., NY, at age 82.¹

Charles was enumerated in the 1865 state census, Clarksville, Allegany Co., Fam 1, 1. His mother-in-law, Elvira Lurvey was living with them.

On 22 Sept. 1893 Charles D. Holcomb and Joel Gillett each stated that he was a son-in-law of Jabez Lurvey, deceased, who was a grantee in a deed from william Samuel Johnson on 9 Nov. 1853, and that Jabez Lurvey died intestate on 7 July 1861 leaving a widow and two daughters, Betsey Ann Holcomb and Aurilla Gillett, wives of the deponents, the only heirs at law. The Holcombs and Gilletts had previously quitclaimed this property, on 5 Sept. 1862, to Elvira Lurvey, who sold it three days later to Leonard Foster.¹

     Betsy Ann Lurvey was born circa 1830 at Cuba, Allegheny Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of Jabez Lurvey and Elvira (?)¹ Betsy Ann Lurvey married Charles D. Holcombe, son of Asahel Seymour Holcombe and Celestia Thurston, circa 1848; Six children.¹ Betsy Ann Lurvey died after 1880.¹

     Sarah Holcombe was born on 22 July 1837. She was the daughter of Asahel Seymour Holcombe and Celestia Thurston.
